I have no clue how the tag thing works, but a friend of mine recently (read: 2 months ago) tagged me, and since then my lazy digits couldn't summon the energy to type up a post in a reply to it. Finally, now that I am waking up to the written blog world once again, here are my
Five unusual things (happened/done)-
1. Went on a roller-coaster with a fifteen storey vertical drop, even though I have always been terrified of heights. The dumb notion that made me to go on the ride- 'if everyone else can go on it, so can you'. Fast forward to two minutes after strapping myself in the cockpit kinda seat- whoa this was thrilling, we should stand an hr in line for this ride again.
2. Sitting in the transit lounge of an International airport (Seoul) dreaming of some entertainment, since even the most advanced flat panel televisions were playing only Korean channels. Skip ten months from this event, and I am at the same airport, albeit this time my passport & ticket taken away by the authorities due to some weird technicality issues. I found myself boarding a transit passengers' bus to some nondescript hotel in the heart of the city, with a constant worry that without a passport I would be an invalid in this country.
3. I consider my family and I to be lucky to have escaped an accident, thanks to a ditch... although the funny part in this rather serious event in my life was- rolling up my jeans and getting down from the car sans shoes, into the muddy ditch!
4. A cute little girl coming and holding my hand least realizing that I was not her dad. For a good twenty minutes she gave me company, and finally when she saw her 'daddy', gave him a huge smile, and then looked at me with a very confused expression.
5. Drove a Maruti 800 through Laxmi Rd. in Pune, Maharashtra, and I am pretty sure I need not say more... (it was my first time driving in Pune!!)
I hope I did a good job with the short descriptions of the top five unusual things in my world?
